Apparently there was this big hoax yesterday after someone photoshopped the date July 5th, 2010 onto a still image from inside the DeLorean time machine in Back to the Future II in an attempt to convince people that Marty traveled to that day in the film. Except, duh, everyone knows that Marty (and Doc) actually traveled to the year 2015, not 2010, so those of you out there who spilled your lack of Back to the Future knowledge all over your Twitter pages should be ashamed of yourselves. The actual fictional date you should all be on the lookout for is October 21, 2015. So there. Store it away.
However, fans of Back to the Future II (and people with nothing better to do than get all excited over a date from a film that's a couple decades old) still have something to tweet about. Remember those power laces that Marty rocks out in the scene where he's changing into his future clothes? Ya know, he plops his foot down in a pair of rad Nikes, pulls the tongue and -- wham! -- the laces power up all by themselves? Yeah, those. Nike already tried to sell us a knock-off pair that paid tribute to the ones worn in the film, minus the cool automatic laces. Well, good news: the automatic laces finally exist.
Bad news ... you have to head after the jump to see them.
