James Franco 'Howl'Lately, 'Eat, Pray, Love' co-star James Franco has become known for his eccentricities: He went back to school to receive about 50 degrees, showed off his art at a gallery in New York and most recently reprised his bizarre role on the daytime soap 'General Hospital.' (That whole "performance art" thing still doesn't make any sense to us.)

So it only makes sense for the 32-year-old hunk to play the equally eccentric poet Allen Ginsberg in 'Howl,' a new film about the creation of the controversial poem that was published by Ginsberg in the '50s.

The film has been hitting the festival circuit all year, with screenings at Sundance and Berlin, and now, the trailer has found its way onto the Internet.

Will this finally be Franco's Oscar vehicle (admit it: He was totally snubbed for 'Milk'), or will he have to sit this year out? Watch the trailer and decide for yourself, then check out the exclusive poster reveal, courtesy of Vulture.
