'Dark Shadows,' the long-running and now cult vampire soap opera that ran on ABC from 1966 to 1971 with 1,225 episodes, will finally make it to the big screen. According to a report in Variety, Warner Bros. has hired Seth Grahame-Smith to write a screenplay for the film, which will star Johnny Depp(as head vampire Barnabas Collins) and be directed by Tim Burton.Grahame-Smith is best known for his novel 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies' and the forthcoming 'Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,' which has created quite a buzz and has been optioned by Universal for Grahame-Smith to adapt for Burton.
