Today's Poster Art Of The Day features one of my all-time favorite pieces of art. And I'm not just talking poster art. All art. I'd put this poster for Ted V. Mikels' Astro Zombies (1968) up against anything you'd see in a museum.

Does the Mona Lisa feature a skull-faced alien with headphones and a machete? Does American Gothic give you a terrorized buxom lass about to fall out of her farmer's daughter dress? Does Dogs Playing Poker offer four lurid taglines, a spaceship, a probe, a ringed planet, and a blood-red sky? No, No, and No.

Click through to see this amazing artistic accomplishment in full. I've also included a trailer for the film which - with the combined talents of Mikels, John Carradine, and Tura Satana - is a rather fantastic work of art as well. But that's a post for another day.
