- I'm trying to learn as little about the alien invasion film Skyline as possible, but I do dig the hell out of the teaser art for it that Dread Central premiered.

- Scarlett Johanssonis in talks to co-star with Vince Vaughn in David O. Russell's next film, Old St. Louis, about a traveling toy salesman's attempt to bond with his teen daughter on a cross-country sales trip. As much as I'm sure many men would like to see Johansson play a teenage girl again, she'll actually be playing Vaughn's secretary.

- Bloody-Disgusting received updates from Ghost House Pictures on a trio of films that were/are in their pipeline: A retelling of Monkey's Paw is no more, Juliet Snowden & Stiles White are scripting the the haunted-item-from-eBay movie Dibbuk Box, and Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) is still on tap to direct a remake of the quite good Danish flick The Substitute, which is about a sixth-grade class who are convinced their new teacher is an alien.

- Twilight haters can finally thank the franchise for something: Disney/Pixar have vacated their previously held November 16th, 2012 release date for Monsters Inc. 2 to distance themselves from the final Twilight film. It will now becoming out a full two weeks earlier.
