rose byrneAussie actress Rose Byrne is in talks to join the ensemble cast of Matthew Vaughn's 'X-Men: First Class.'

The 'Damages' star is prepping to cozy up to James McAvoy's young Professor Xavier as his love interest, scientist and genetic mutation expert Moira MacTaggert, in the next 'X' flick, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie will feature a number of young actors -- including Alice Eve, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, and Nicholas Hoult – playing young versions of Marvel's famous mutants. Michael Fassbender previously joined the cast as Magneto, and Kevin Bacon has signed on to play the film's mysterious villain.
