Let's face it: Every time technology makes your life more convenient, it makes it that much harder for a decent screenwriter to spin a good yarn. There's GPS if you're lost, cell phones if you're in trouble and Twitter if -- actually, Twitter doesn't really do anything substantially useful for you.

But more than almost any other modern-day technology, Facebook, with its easy access to information about people's lives, is a killer for classic Hollywood plots. From the girl who got away to mistaken identities, many storylines that once plagued our favorite movies have now been rendered obsolete thanks to the uber-popular social media site.
