Warner Bros. has 'Flipped' off Rob Reiner.

The coming-of-age film hasn't done as well as hoped for in two weeks of limited release, so the studio is curtailing its planned wide release this weekend. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warners opened 'Flipped' on Aug. 6 in 45 theaters in three markets: Los Angeles, Sacramento, Calif., and Austin.

Despite mostly positive reviews, the film performed poorly, so the studio reduced the picture count to 29 runs last weekend. Again the film was a weak performer, so Warners will reduce its run to eight this weekend, though it should get a boost by adding New York playdates.
