The AmericanThere are certain actors whose films I look forward to without question, no matter how silly or outside my preferred tastes they may be. George Clooney is one of those actors.

In looking over Clooney's filmography, it's easy to see why: His films span a wide range of genres, from quirky comedies ('O Brother, Where Art Thou?'), to highbrow thrillers ('Michael Clayton') to pure entertainment (the 'Ocean's' franchise), and, with a few minor exceptions, they're always enjoyable to watch. In fact, I'd be willing to wager that Clooney is our most consistent working actor today.
