John Woo'snext film will be getting the IMAX treatment. According to DeadlineHollywood, Woo and his producing partner Terence Chang have struck a deal with the Canadian company to digitally remaster 'Flying Tigers' for The IMAX Experience. The film tells the story of the American Volunteer Group and its successor, the 14th Air Force, which was an outfit of American and Chinese pilots flying side by side against the Japanese during World War II. "It has always been a dream of mine to explore shooting with IMAX cameras and to work in the IMAX format and the strong visual element of this film is incredibly well-suited to the tastes of cinemagoers today," Woo said. "Using IMAX for 'Flying Tigers' would create a new experience for the audience and I think it would be another breakthrough for Chinese movies."
