Rachel BilsonReady for a female-driven comedy? Krysten Ritter is bringing on the girl power full force in her upcoming film 'BFF and Baby.' Ritter co-wrote the piece with Kat Coiro, who is making her directorial debut with the film, which is about two BFFs who desperately try to keep their lives as normal as possible, even after one of the girls gets pregnant and has a baby. Ritter will star as the mother-to-be and, just last month, word got out that Kate Bosworth will star in the film, too. As Ritter's non-pregnant best friend? Maybe, but maybe not. According to Variety, there will be another lady joining the cast, Rachel Bilson.

No word on who Bilson will play, so it's unclear who'll snag that BFF #2 position, but it wouldn't come as a shock if Bilson or Bosworth wound up in some sort of rivalry position. Regardless, this is an interesting trio Coiro's got to work with. First and foremost, Ritter deserves far more than her typical on-screen spot as the snarky best friend. Even with duller characters like Patty in 'She's Out of My League' and Suze in 'Confessions of a Shopaholic,' she always manages to crack a few memorable jokes.

Based on past roles alone, it's easy to picture Bosworth in the best buddy part and Bilson, channeling some Summer Roberts ('The O.C.'), to make a decent adversary. Bilson has been working, but hasn't really been in the spotlight much since 'The O.C.' – we'll keep 'Jumper' out of the equation considering that was Hayden Christensen and Doug Liman's movie to ruin – so it'll be interesting to see if she's still got something to offer. Summer was a somewhat amusing character, but otherwise, Bilson has little experience in big screen comedy.
