Back when Cinematical spoke to Rodrigo Cortes about 'Buried,' his debut (English-language) film, he was a little hesitant to talk about what his next film was going to be. At that point in time, all the Spanish-born director had was an idea; no names, no stars, just a concept he was very excited about. Well, now we have the name of the film as well as its first two stars.
It's called 'Red Lights' and it is set to star Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver. According to Variety's report on the matter, ""Lights" turns on a psychologist, played by Weaver, and her assistant whose study of paranormal activity leads them to investigate a world-renowned psychic (De Niro)."
Now, were you to remove the names, that exact description could be used to describe John Harrison's recent film 'Book of Blood.' (Which is a not-too-shabby Clive Barker adaptation with some very solid gore effects in it, for anyone looking for some recent films to watch on Halloween.)
