This is a week for underachievers on the home entertainment front. The three films coming to DVD Tuesday all coulda been contenders but, for one reason or another, fell short of the mark. The video-game/graphic novel themed 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' had snappy visuals but lacked the necessary acting and script oomph to amass any big points with the younger audiences it was aimed at. 'Grown Ups' features five talented comedians going through mid-life crises and dragging us into their self-conscious, predictable and mildly humorous situations with no reward for our patience. On the other hand, 'Charlie St. Cloud' is a sweet, uplifting sentimental ode to loyalty, love and faith that, unfortunately, ends up being little more than a TV movie-of-the-week on the big screen.
