It's been a frantic couple of weeks as authorities in Los Angeles tried to piece together what exactly happened in the fatal shooting death of beloved, long-time Hollywood publicist Ronni Chasen. Shot down execution style in her Mercedes while traveling home from the 'Burlesque' premiere on November 16th, up until now police had been calling this case a simple whodunit, with several reports alluding to a possible assassination attempt. While we still don't know what happened and why, we may be a lot closer to those answers as the Beverly Hills Police Department has issued a statement saying that a suspect in the case shot himself to death as authorities were attempting to serve him with a search warrant.

As of now there aren't many details; the man's identity is unknown, as is his connection to Chasen and the murder. However, according to the LA Times, detectives do believe he was involved in the killing. At the time of the man's apparent suicide, police were on the scene conducting a follow-up investigation. When they approached him in the lobby of his building and ordered him to raise his hands, the man refused, pulled out a gun and shot himself in the head. We expect more details to emerge soon as police continue their investigation, so stay tuned ...
