It's time for David Schwimmer's second directorial feature, and Cinematical's happy to offer three exclusive images for your perusal. This time it's not in the comedic vein that made him a star on 'Friends,' nor the goofy laughs of Simon Pegg running a marathon in 'Run Fatboy Run.' For his sophomore feature, 'Trust,' Schwimmer is digging into the dramatic world of online predators.
The film stars Clive Owen and Catherine Keener as parents who believe they have the idyllic and safe familial life. But then their teen daughter (Liana Liberato) meets a 16-year-old boy on the Internet and falls for him -- so much so that even when she learns that he's not who he says he is, she's still intrigued. Sporting a scarily blase opinion of the danger, the teen is sexually assaulted, which leads the family's idyllic lives into chaotic fallout.
'Trust' recently made headlines for having a row with the MPAA over the R-rating it received due to the rape depicted in the film. Schwimmer fought the rating -- citing, in part, that this is an educational subject for teens who play around online -- but it was ultimately upheld by the ratings organization last month.
The drama will head to screens on April 1. Hit the jump to see the remaining images.
