Now that Sundance is just about over and the Oscar race has begun, there are some excellent opportunities for film fans across the country to see some great stuff on the big screen. Repertory cinema seems hotter than ever, because it not only affords cinephiles the opportunity to see their favorite films on the big screen, but it allows filmmakers to interact and discuss their work with the folks who watched and enjoyed it for years and, in so doing, helped it endure. Meanwhile, it's also a forum for potential award winners to get out, talk about and promote their films in those months between their initial release and the Oscar telecast.

Before we get to the stuff we think you should see up on the big screen, though, we would like to remind you to please leave comments and send in emails with any suggestions you may have for events, screenings or other opportunities film fans may have to share with others in their celebration of the medium. Also, when and if you attend any of the events listed below, please let us know about your experiences, and let the organizers know where you found out about it!
