December 2012. That's when Zack Snyder's blockbuster new take on Superman will finally arrive in theaters. Until then, you're just going to have to wait patiently; if you're expecting some plucky P.A. to smuggle out set photos, plot spoilers or some other big scoop -- you're not going to get it. This is a very-big-deal project for Warner Bros., and they are going to keep information on this movie locked down. And Superman fans are just going to have to deal with the fact that if you want to learn more about the movie, it will be done on WB's time.
And now they have finally parceled out an important piece of news. In an interview with the L.A. Times' Hero Complex, director Zack Snyder has finally explained how much this new movie will tie into the five previous 'Superman' film installments -- it won't. Specifically, Snyder states, "The one thing that everyone can start to think about is that we're making a movie that finally goes with the approach that there's been no other Superman movies."
So what can we expect from Snyder's 'Superman'?
