Johnny Depp has lined up yet another remake to sandwich between 'Pirates' films, this time raiding the 1930s to play a detective in 'The Thin Man.'

There's still no Nora to his Nick in the remake of the classic, but 'Chicago' director Rob Marshall (who just directed Depp in 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides') is now on board to direct.

Marshall said in a press release, "John [DeLuca] and I are overjoyed at the idea of working with Johnny again, especially on such a classy and classic project."

For those of you not familiar with the 1934 original, Nick Charles is a retired private detective who continues to solve high-society murders with wife Nora and dog Asta. William Powell and Myrna Loy played the cocktail-loving, crime-solving couple in several films.
