And now for a cool little tidbit for all you Whedonites and Marvel fanboys out there. While at Cannes promoting his latest role in Lars Von Trier's 'Melancholia,' actor Stellan Skarsgard revealed that the post-credits scene from 'Thor' featuring Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Skarsgard as Professor Erik Selvig, was in fact directed by future 'Avengers' director Joss Whedon.

Can't give anything away for those who haven't seen it yet, but the revelation should put some nervous minds at ease if there are any lingering doubts about having Whedon on board.

Hit the jump to hear Skarsgard's thoughts on switching from 'Thor' director Kenneth Branagh, along with what 'The Avengers' holds in store for his character.
