Could this be the next Pixar? After 'Rango' grossed more than $240 million at the box office in March, Paramount Pictures is putting all their cards on the table by opening up a new animated division.
Up to this point, the studio has mostly relied on Dreamworks Animation. However, their distribution deal with the company ends in 2012, so why not just do it on their own? At least, that's Paramount's thinking.
The new vision will be creating family-oriented, CGI-animated films, with some titles released under the Nickelodeon label.
