Andy Serkis was at Comic-Con to promote 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes,' but all audience members wanted to know about was 'The Hobbit.'

"We've shot 60 days and we've got another 200 to go," Serkis said of the first 'Hobbit' film, which doesn't have an official presence at this year's convention since it's so early into production. "I've shot all of the Gollum scenes so far and now I'm directing the second unit for the next 200 days," was the only other thing he added.

Serkis, who also lent a soul to Peter Jackson's 'King Kong,' gives another motion-capture performance in 'Apes.' He plays intelligent ape, Caesar, who leads the uprising after being cruelly mistreated and imprisoned.
