To be honest, we were a little confused when Sony announced not too long ago that it would be rebooting the 'Spider-Man' franchise. Sam Raimi's original 'Spider-Man' only came out nine years ago, after all, and it set box office records upon its release. Three years later, 'Spider-Man 2' hit theaters and ... just, wow, that movie was outstanding. Then, yes, there was that ... thing ... called 'Spider-Man 3.'

OK, maybe they were right about rebooting it.

Perhaps some fresh creative juice is just what the doctor ordered.
