Although he's landed the lead in 'The Amazing Spider-Man,' Andrew Garfield is still relatively unknown. Oh sure, every geek on the planet knows who he is, but do their moms? All too soon, though, his fame will be unavoidable. As the LA Times points out to the actor in a new interview, he'll soon be an action figure and "on billboards, Slurpee cups, and magazine covers everywhere."
How is Garfield preparing for this massive surge of attention? "I don't like to think about it. It terrifies me," he told the Times. "I just saw that I was given an opportunity to play a part that I've been wanting to play since I was a 2-year-old. I don't want the rest of it. The visibility thing ... was the one thing that deterred me."
He swears he'll still be the same old Andrew, but is that possible with paparazzi everywhere? (It doesn't help that he's dating his co-star, Emma Stone.)
