After catching wind of a stunning short film that brought Valve Software's 'Portal' to life last week, film makers are now trying their hand at the video game publisher's landmark series, 'Half-Life.'

Primarily based on 'Half-Life 2,' Canadian commercial directors David and Ian Purchase have recently released the second part of their live-action adaptation, 'Escape from City 17.' Made on a combined budget of just $500, the story revolves around members of a resistance movement in a future dystopia enforced by a masked militia and alien warships.
