'The Lucky One' star Taylor Schilling,Tate Donovan and 'The Office's' Nelson Franklin have joined the cast of 'Argo,' Ben Affleck's CIA thriller revolving around the 1979 Tehran hostage crisis. The film is based on a Wired magazine article about a real-life covert mission in 1979 mounted by the CIA and the Canadian government to rescue six American diplomats held hostage in Iran -- by claiming that the diplomats were actually part of a Hollywood crew scouting locations for a science fiction film titled 'Argo.' Affleck stars as Tony Mendez, the CIA expert who created the fake Hollywood production; Schilling will play his wife; Donovan will play Bob Anders, a U.S. embassy consular officer in Tehran; and Franklin will play a reporter. Already cast are Alan Arkin, John Goodman and Bryan Cranston. [Variety]

The release date for 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,' the spy thriller based on the novel by John le Carré with a cast that includes Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Ciaran Hinds, has been pushed from Nov. 18 to Dec. 9.
