Does comedian David Cross regret his decision to take a role in those 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' movies? Oh yes. Now that he's done with the trilogy and able to speak freely, he's calling it "without question, the most unpleasant experience I've ever had in my professional life." He took a lot of heat when he first signed up for the series, including some potshots from Patton Oswalt (guess bedding Charlize Theron in 'Young Adult' gets you more indie cred than acting opposite animated rodents). At the time, Cross memorably answered, in essence, that you can't buy a house with indie hipster cred.
