As it turns out, Twi-hards really loved "Breaking Dawn Part 1." The beginning of the end of the "Twilight Saga" cracked the $700 million worldwide mark over the weekend, putting it on track to become the franchise's biggest financial success. With openings to come in both China and Japan, "Breaking Dawn Part 1" should easily top the $709.8 million that "New Moon" earned around the globe in 2009.

Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger made the announcement in their first act as heads of Lionsgate's motion picture group, which recently merged with "Twilight" studio Summit. Per Variety, the deal could earn Lionsgate over $500 million in "Twilight" money over the next five years.

"Breaking Dawn Part 1" hits DVD and Blu-ray here in America on Feb. 11. (Valentine's Day gifts, y'all!) The final entry, aptly titled "Breaking Dawn Part 2," arrives in November.
