While marriage may not have been his cup of tea, Russell Brand is getting back to what he does best: oddball comedies!

Brand is eying the lead in "The Hauntrepreneur." Written by Scott Rosenberg ("High Fidelity"), the film follows a troubled family who calls upon the services of a "peculiar man" (Brand, duh) who, apparently, creates a haunted house (??) to bring them together. "The Hauntrepreneur" is still on the hunt for a director.

2012 looks like a busy year for the comedian: he will next appear in the hair-sprayed comedy "Rock of Ages" and has been working on an untitled series for FX, which he is said to produce. He is also about to kick off production on Diablo Cody's next film.

Well, you know, grief takes many forms...
