Moviefone's Pick of the Week

"The Muppets"

What's It About? Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fonzie and the entire gang (even Gonzo) are reunited by their number one superfan, Walter, in an effort to save the beloved "Muppet Show" Theater. See It Because: It's good, duh. It's understandable to be cautious about a new Muppet movie that doesn't involve Jim Henson, but Jason Segel and the creative team approached the project with a lot of reverence for the classic Muppet bits. The movie pays loving tribute while also setting the characters up for new adventures. Also Available on Redbox DVD & Blu-ray | Amazon Instant Video

Roman Polanski adapts the hit cross-continental play about two sets of parents that get together to discuss their children's schoolyard fight; with a cast featuring Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly and Christoph Waltz, it's a superbly-acted production, but "Carnage's" broad, theatrical nature just makes you want to see an actual staging. See It or Skip It: See it, since the show has closed on Broadway. Also Available on Redbox

"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" The international best-selling thriller gets the perfect English-language adaptation from David Fincher; the movie didn't become the blockbuster sensation it was hyped up to be, but it's really the best page-to-screen translation imaginable. See It or Skip It: See it. Also Available on Redbox DVD & Blu-ray | Amazon Instant Video

"Hop" (Friday, March 23) A painfully-cute talking rabbit has to learn to be responsible before he can take over the family job of Easter Bunny; strictly for the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" fans in your household. See It or Skip It: See it if you still believe in the Easter Bunny. Also Available on Amazon Instant Video

"The Sitter" Jonah Hill would prefer it if you talked about "Moneyball" and not this watered-down Apatow-style knockoff of "Adventures in Babysitting." See It or Skip It: Skip it. Also Available on Amazon Instant Video

"Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" Gary Oldman, Colin Firth and more of the best British actors working today star in a head-scratching '70s-set Cold War thriller.
