To bring "The Avengers" to life, Marvel has assembled an impressive lineup of actors including Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johannson. And while we're super excited to see the movie when it opens on May 4, we can't help but feel a little disappointed by the casting choices.

Sure, A-List Hollywood talent is impressive, but we wanted a superteam that defied physics; we wanted a superteam that wasn't limited to flesh-and-blood humans; we wanted a superteam that would bring the madcap cartoonish doom to Loki. When you want a group of heroes to be that extraordinary, there's only one team you can call: The Nicktoons.

In honor of "The Avengers," Moviefone has teamed up with the incredibly talented comic-book artist Dennis Culver to find out what would happen if the "Avengers" movie featured those beloved '90s television stars. S.H.I.E.L.D. has recruited Nickelodeon's best and brightest characters, from "The Rugrats" to "Ren & Stimpy" to "Hey Arnold!," and assembled a team that truly lives up the tagline of "Earth's Mightiest Heroes."

And be sure to check out more of Dennis Culver's totally awesome artwork featuring everything from Batman to "The Wire" to Vegan Zombies at his SketchJournal Tumblr. You can also follow him on Twitter @DennisCulver. %VIRTUAL-MtGallery-236SLIDEWIDE--223334%
