This Friday, the seminal awkward teen novel "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" gets released on the big screen. Based on the book by Stephen Chbosky, who also wrote and directed the film, "Perks" follows a group of misfit students -- Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller ("We Need To Talk About Kevin") and, of course, Emma Watson (without her British lilt!) -- as they begin to find their place in the high-school stratosphere.

While assuring out-of-place kids that they are not alone, "Perks" has provided high schoolers a slew of quotes with which they can better -- and more poetically -- understand their adolescence. (Who hasn't written "We accept the love we think we deserve" in a composition book?)

So, in honor of the coming-of-age's adaptation, Moviefone presents the Movie High School Guide to Life. From "Mean Girls" to "The Breakfast Club" here's a crash course in high-school cache, as told by some of your favorite high school movie characters ever. Get out your trapper keeper, people!
