Hugh Jackman is back in fighting form in the new teaser for "The Wolverine," which is just a little taste of the action to come this July. Jackman, whom we last saw singing for his supper as Jean Valjean in "Les Mis," stars as the perpetually angry Logan, who's hanging out in Japan when his X-Men past comes calling. And frankly, he's a bit bitter about it.

We last spotted Wolverine in "X-Men: First Class" in a hilariously grumpy cameo. "The Wolverine" takes place after the events in that Matthew Vaughn flick, and is based on the comic book series by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. Director James Mangold told Empire, "Jean Grey is gone, most of the X-Men are disbanded or gone, so there's a tremendous sense of isolation for him." He described the style as "Japanese noir picture with tentpole action in it," which should be very interesting to fans indeed.

This is the week of Wolverine, apparently, as Fox released a potentially spoilerrific clip on Vine yesterday. It's only 6 seconds long, but that's enough for sharp-eyed fans to spot a favorite mutant making an appearance. Or is it a flashback? Guess we'll have to wait until July to find out.
