Envy the lifestyles of the rich and famous? Then just steal from them!

That's what Emma Watson and her crew do in Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring," which is based on a true story of L.A. teens who robbed the homes of celebrities. In a new, full-length trailer, Watson does a complete 180 from her "Harry Potter" role to play the "superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral" ringleader Nicki. "She's all of these things and I realized that I hated her," Watson told British GQ.

The trailer opens with Nicki's mom (Leslie Mann) calling out, "Girls, time for your adderall!" Nicki meets Marc (Israel Broussard) and their group is dazzled when they see celebs like Kirsten Dunst and Paris Hilton.

"I just think we just wanted to be part of, like, the lifestyle," Marc muses.

From their, the bling ring (also known as the Hollywood Hills Burglars) breaks in and robs Hilton's home, with Nicki blithely wearing a stolen dress to eat with her family. Not-quite-a-spoiler alert: They get caught and become engulfed in a media frenzy. The lifestyles they envied are now theirs: They become celebrities.

"I'm a firm believer in karma. And I think this situation is a huge learning lesson for me. To grow and expand as a spiritual human being," a dead-serious Nicki tells cameras. "I want to lead the country someday, for all I know.
