It's official: Kristen Stewart and Tom Cruise cannot be trusted -- well, if you listen to a recent Reader's Digest poll, that is.

RD took 200 public figures, including Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock, and Steven Spielberg, and asked 1,000 of their readers to vote to determine the "100 Most Trusted People in America." The "Twilight" actress and the "Oblivion" star landed at the bottom of the barrel among participants.

According to RD, trust is "earned with a person's integrity and character, exceptional talent and drive, internal moral compass, message, honesty, and leadership." Well, judging by their definition, we can only assume that Stewart's rendezvous with her married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders, contributed to her untrustworthy status. As for Cruise, well, we'll leave you to figure that one out.

What about the stars Americans trust the most? Hanks, Bullock, and Denzel Washington took the top three. No surprises there.

To Stewart and Cruise we say, there's always next year!
