It may sound like a joke, but Morgan Freeman and Zach Braff could be the latest celebrity duo involved in an old fashioned Hollywood feud -- for real.

The Oscar-winning actor called out Braff on TMZ after the "Garden State" star made some critical comments about a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) session Freeman did with his fans.

Confused? Let's start from the beginning.

Braff has been under fire recently for this decision to launch a Kickstarter campaign to fund a quasi-sequel to "Garden State," a movie he wrote and starred in. Nay-sayers have criticized the actor for using the crowd-funding site rather than digging into his own pockets for the cash. Braff recently defended himself in his own Q&A session, and dragged Freeman into it when he said: "People can smell bullsh*t a mile away ... look at what happened when Morgan Freeman did that AMA on reddit," Braff said, referring to the belief that Freeman's answers were lackluster and possibly written by his publicist.

Freeman was not happy about the comments, and called them "not the best idea" on Braff's part.

Is there an epic battle ahead, or will this feud fizzle out by the time "Shawshank Redemption" airs for the 1,043rd time on TNT?
