Henry Cavill and Amy Adams did Clark Kent and Lois Lane proud at the world premiere of "Man of Steel" in New York.

The on-screen lovebirds posed for pictures together on the red carpet last night at Lincoln Center, and made it very clear why they were cast as Superman and his lady.

Adams looked glamorous in a black strapless gown, accessorized with her signature auburn locks, which were in elegant waves. Cavill looked every bit the strapping hero in a gray suit and black tie (he must've forgotten his tights at home). Adams and Cavill's co-stars Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, and Kevin Costner were also on hand for the event.

Check out the photos below. "Man of Steel" soars into theaters this Friday, June 14.
