A teaser trailer for director Ridley Scott's upcoming "The Counselor" hit the web today, and based on its star power and sumptuous cinematography, it looks like it will be stellar.
The story, written by novelist Cormac McCarthy ("No Country For Old Men"), features Javier Bardem as the wealthy acquaintance of a lawyer (Michael Fassbender) who gets caught up in a drug deal overseen by Brad Pitt. Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz play the love interests of Bardem and Fassbender, respectively.
Though the clip only clocks in at 44 seconds, it looks pretty slick and stylish -- there are motorcycles, mansions, leopards, and one ridiculous blowout atop Bardem's head. It closes with Cruz playfully asking a shifty-eyed Fassbender, "Have you been bad?"
Count us intrigued. "The Counselor" debuts in theaters October 25.
