We never really escape high school (movies).
Columbia Pictures - Sony/AP
The writing/directing team behind "21 Jump Street," Phil Lord and Chris Miller, has signed a deal to make a high school reunion comedy with Sony, according to Variety. Miller will direct "The Reunion" from their script.
The duo, who first met at Dartmouth College, has been very busy since "21 Jump Street" became a big success last summer. They're putting the finishing touches on a "Legos" animated movie, then will move on to shooting the sequel "22 Jump Street." That follow-up will reunite them with stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill and take place on a college campus.
For "The Reunion," little is known other than that it's about, well, a high school reunion. No stars are attached at this point, and it will likely film sometime next year.
