The first official trailer for "The Canyons" is finally upon us, and Lindsay Lohan's indifferent attitude toward movies (well, at least her character's) is as prominently featured as a billboard on the Sunset Strip.

Directed by Paul Schrader ("Taxi Driver," "American Gigolo") and written by Bret Easton Ellis ("Less Than Zero," "American Psycho"), "The Canyons" stars Lindsay Lohan, porn star James Deen, and a 2012 Los Angeles, where boredom, sex, TMI-ness, and more sex and TMI-ness pervade the glitterati-littered landscape. That doesn't sound very different from 2013 Los Angeles, actually.

But who are we kidding? Why go on and on about the setting and subject matter when all you want to see is Lindsay Lohan back in action on the big screen?

Watch the trailer for "The Canyons" below, and catch the movie when it hits select theaters and VOD on August 2.
