It seems appropriate that the first movie marketing campaign to use Instagram's newish video function is "Jobs." As opposed to the measly 6 seconds Vine offers, Instagram gives us an entire 15 seconds to check out Ashton Kutcher as Apple visionary Steve Jobs -- enough time to watch him design new gadgets, pal around with Steve "Woz" Wozniak (Josh Gad), and drop some "Think Different"-esque knowledge.
Is Ashton the right man for the Jobs? Will his bare chest, as seen in this Instagram video, drive all the iFans wild? Will we see him pretend to drop acid with Josh Gadley? We have so many questions!
Interestingly enough, this Instagram trailer begins with the same quote that Aaron Sorkin has said his Steve Jobs movie will end with: "Here's to the crazy ones." Joshua Michael Stern's Jobs biopic is beating Sorkin's to the big screen, though, which is impressive given all the road bumps "Jobs" has encountered along the way.
"Jobs" will open on August 16.
