Paul Bhattacharjee, a stage and screen actor who appeared in "Casino Royale" and "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," was found dead at age 53 off the cliffs of East Sussex on Friday.
Reported missing July 10, the actor was apparently last heard from after a play rehearsal at the Royal Court Theatre in London, when he sent a text to his girlfriend. Police have ruled out foul play.
Bhattacharjee is survived by his 24-year-old son, Rahul Bhattacharjee-Prashar, who issued a plea while his father was still missing: "Dad, wherever you are please, please get in contact. We want to know that you are okay."
"It's completely out of character," Bhattacharjee-Prashar continued. "He was doing well in his career and everything seemed to be going okay. I just don't know what has happened."
Bhattacharjee also had guest roles on the popular British series "EastEnders" and "MI-5," and he took part in the Royal Shakespeare Company's India-set production of "Much Ado About Nothing" last year
