Clint Eastwood's adaptation of the Broadway hit "Jersey Boys" just got a little bit cooler.

Although Eastwood is planning to cast the musical with stage actors, he's gone with a big name to ground the project. Christopher Walken, who has smooth moves and Broadway chops, is taking on the role of Angelo "Gyp" DeCarlo, a wise guy who helps out Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons before they hit it big.

As for the Seasons themselves, there aren't any official offers on the table. Eastwood is reportedly looking at John Lloyd Young, Michael Lomenda, and Erich Bergen to reprise their roles from stage productions of the musical, with Vincent Piazza of "Boardwalk Empire" potentially rounding out the foursome.

The show has won numerous Tony awards, as well as a Grammy, and Young won a Tony for his performance of Frankie Valli. The real question is whether or not Walken will get to sing and dance as DeCarlo. If it was good enough for Fatboy Slim, surely it's good enough for Eastwood.
