Ellen DeGeneres is on board to host next year's Academy Awards.

The Emmy-winning "Ellen DeGeneres Show" host, who emceed the 2007 ceremony to positive reviews, will take the stage once more on March 2 for the 2014 Oscars.

At one point during her 2007 gig, she memorably said, "What a wonderful night, such diversity in the room -- in a year when there's been so many negative things said about people's race, religion, and sexual orientation. And I want to put this out there: If there weren't blacks, Jews, and gays, there would be no Oscars, or anyone named Oscar, when you think about that."

After his divisive Oscars hosting turn earlier this year, "Ted" director/writer/star Seth MacFarlanetweeted, "Traumatized critics exhale: I'm unable to do the Oscars again. Tried to make it work schedule-wise, but I need sleep."

Now with DeGeneres confirmed as the next host, those "traumatized critics" can truly heave sighs of relief.

Other recent Academy Awards hosts include Jon Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Alec Baldwin & Steve Martin, James Franco & Anne Hathaway, and Billy Crystal.
