Where can you find a mustachioed Ty Burrell, penguins singing "Moves Like Jagger," and cameos from the likes of Sean "Diddy" Combs and Salma Hayek? Why, a Muppets movie, of course.
The first teaser trailer for "Muppets Most Wanted" offers all of the above and more, promising that the sequel to the 2011 reboot of the beloved puppet series will be "better, bolder, and bigger" than its predecessor -- and also "quite possibly the greatest motion picture of all time."
While that boast may seem a bit lofty, the trailer is a lot of fun, and finds the newly in-demand Muppets touring Europe to much acclaim, only to be derailed by Kermit's striking physical similarity to Constantine, the World's Number One Criminal. Naturally, identities are mistaken, and the gang find themselves tangling with an Interpol officer (played by Burrell), a Russian prison guard (a thickly accented Tina Fey), and Constantine's right-hand man, Dominic, aka Number Two (Ricky Gervais).
"Muppets Most Wanted" reunites returning director James Bobin and writer Nicholas Stoller with musical supervisor Bret McKenzie ("Flight of the Conchords"), who won an Oscar for his work on the first film. The flick hits theaters March 21, 2014.
