Director Colin Trevorrow has finally broken his silence about "Jurassic Park 4." The proprietors of the "Jurassic Cast" podcast scored an exclusive interview with Trevorrow, and while the director didn't reveal many specific details about the movie, he did debunk one key rumor about the film's supposed plot.

Pledging not to reveal any spoilers (which he urged fans not to seek out online), Trevorrow did say that the movie was "two years out," confirming speculation that the once-delayed-indefinitely project had moved its release date to summer 2015. He also confirmed rumors that a dinosaur not yet seen in the franchise would appear in "JP4," calling the creature "pretty cool" and "badass."

One rumor Trevorrow denied, however, was one that circulated back in June, about there being tame dinosaurs at a version of the original film's theme park that actually opens.

"I saw some of the rumors on the Internet and I would have all kinds of red flags going off if I heard they were going to muzzle a T. rex," Trevorrow said. "So I would say don't believe everything you read, there are way more insiders on the Internet than there are in real life."

Trevorrow made it clear that working on the highly anticipated, long-delayed sequel was a dream come true, and that he and his collaborators were working hard to make sure tiny details such as "the talon length on a dinosaur" and "variations on skin color" were perfect -- for diehard fans of the franchise and casual moviegoers alike.

"It's important to make a movie for the fans but I also have to remember that there's a lot of people who just couldn't care less and need me to make a solid case for why the hell there's a 'Jurassic Park 4' in the first place and I want to make a movie for them too," Trevorrow said. " ... This is not a paycheck gig for me and it's not the movie that I'm making so I can make the movies that I really want to make. I actually want to make a kick-ass 'Jurassic Park' movie."

Count us among those counting down the days until summer 2015.
