Actress Sigourney Weaver is once again teaming up with her "Alien" director Ridley Scott, having just finalized a deal to star in Scott's next project, "Exodus," which tells the Biblical tale of Moses.

Weaver will play Tuya, mother of the pharaoh Ramses II (Joel Edgerton). John Turturro will play Ramses's father and Tuya's husband.

Christian Bale is set to star as Moses, who leads the Jewish people out of Egypt. In negotiations to join the cast are Aaron Paul, who would take on the role of Hebrew slave Joshua -- the guy who takes over for Moses to lead his people to the promised land, and Ben Kingsley, who would play a Hebrew scholar.

Shooting on "Exodus" is expected to start in September. The movie will film on location in England, Spain, and Morocco, and it's anticipated to be a major tentpole for 20th Century Fox when it hits theaters next holiday season. "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" screenwriter Steve Zaillian is penning the script.
