More actors have been added to director David Fincher's upcoming adaptation of "Gone Girl," with the previously rumored Tyler Perry officially joining the project.

Deadline has confirmed that Perry will play Tanner Bolt, the lawyer hired to represent Ben Affleck's character after his wife goes missing and he's quickly fingered as the culprit. Deadline reports that Fincher was impressed with Perry's performance in "Alex Cross," and courted him for the part.

Rounding out the cast are Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit, who will play investigators working the missing person case, and Carrie Coon, who will play Affleck's twin sister. Deadline also notes that Neil Patrick Harris, previously reported to be considered for a part, has also been cast, though his specific role is not yet known.

Actress Rosamund Pike ("Jack Reacher," "The World's End") scored the role of "Gone Girl"'s titular character in July. Author Gillian Flynn is adapting her own novel for the big screen, and the film is expected to go into production this month.
