Production on "Dumb and Dumber To" is underway, and Jim Carrey is taking it all off ... of his teeth, anyway.

The actor posted a close-up photo of his mouth on Twitter over the weekend, showing off his chipped front tooth, which he also sported in "Dumb and Dumber." Carrey chipped the tooth as a boy and now wears a cap over it, which he removed for his role as Lloyd Christmas in the 1994 film.

Looks like he's keeping up appearances for the long-awaited sequel, which has been in the works for years and is just getting off the ground this fall. Based on the timing of Carrey's posting, shooting may have already started (or is very close to starting).

Co-star Jeff Daniels teased the plot of the follow-up earlier this summer, telling Jimmy Fallon that the film picks up 20 years after the original, and not much has changed for Harry and Lloyd.

"We're middle-aged and we're still that stupid," Daniels said.

The sequel is due out sometime next year, to coincide with the original's 20th anniversary.
