"Star Trek Into Darkness"
What's It About? J.J. Abrams' second "Star Trek" installment follows the Enterprise crew when they're called back home and find an unstoppable force of terror within their own organization. Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) leads the Enterprise against a one man weapon of mass destruction.
Why We're IN: This sequel is exhilarating from start to finish with tons of spectacle and a solid narrative. Abarams' film perfectly mixes classic references that will excite any "Star Trek" fan, but won't make newbies feel left out. "Star Trek Into Darkness" was one of Moviefone's Best Movies of 2013 (So Far).

"The Nightmare Before Christmas" (20th Anniversary 3D Edition)
What's It About? This 1993 stop-motion musical from director Henry Selick and co-writer, producer Tim Burton tells the magical story of the merging of two worlds: Halloween Town and Christmas Town. When the dispirited Jack Skellington (Chris Sarandon voice, Danny Elfman singing voice), the Pumpkin King, opens the portal to Christmas Town he decided he must celebrate the holiday.
Why We're In: No film gets us in the spirit for both Halloween and Christmas than "The Nightmare Before Christmas." With still-stunning animation and unforgettable songs, Selick and Burton's film is one both kids and adults will continue to love for years.

What's It About? "The Last Keepers" follows a teenage girl who falls in love with an unusual boy and discovers magical powers and ancient secrets that will change her life. This family drama stars Virginia Madsen, Aidan Quinn, and Zosia Mamet.

What's It About?
When Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the Peeples family annual reunion in the Hamptons to ask to marry their daughter Grace (Kerry Washington), a weekend of dysfunction and surprises ensue. This hollow comedy from Tyler Perry relies on cheap, predictable humor and only gains a few laughs thanks to Robinson.

"We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks"
What's It About? This documentary from Oscar winner Alex Gibney's ("Taxi to the Dark Side") gives a detailed look at the story behind Julian Assange's controversial website that uncovered the largest U.S. government secrets and operations. This riveting and revelatory doc reveals how information is shared and stolen in the always-expanding internet age, in a story everyone should know.

"Wish You Were Here"
What's It About? The first feature film from Australian filmmaker Kieran Darcy-Smith, "Wish You Were Here" follows four friends who go on a trip to Cambodia. After one friend mysteriously disappears, information is revealed piece by piece from the others' knowledge about what happened. Darcy-Smith's mystery follows even pacing, but is nonetheless thrilling and offers one of the best performances from Joel Edgerton.

"The Fly" (1958)
What's It About? The original sci-fi-horror classic from Kurt Neumann tells the story of a scientist whose head gets switched with that of a fly when he has an accident with his teleportation device. Starring Vincent Price, Patricia Owens, and Herbert Marshall, "The Fly" is an above average B-movie classic that is one of Price's best.

"La Cage Aux Folles" (Criterion Collection)
What's It About? Edouard Molinaro's adaptation of the French play of the same (and the original story for 1996's "The Birdcage") follows two gay men who must conceal their lifestyles when one of their sons announces he's getting married. Starring Ugo Tognazzi and Michel Serrault, "La Cage Aux Folles" is a fun and hilarious timeless classic.

"Marathon Man"
What's It About? Jogn Schlesinger's ("Midnight Cowboy") 1976 film follows a graduate history student (Dustin Hoffman) who is caught in a conspiracy between an American secret agent (Roy Scheider) and an escaped nazi war criminal (Laurence Olivier). "Marathon Man" is a stylish, exciting political thriller that features a terrifyingly unforgettable performance from Olivier than earned him an Oscar nomination.

"The Spy Who Came In From the Cold" (Criterion Collection)

What's It About? Based on the thriller novel from John Le Carre, Martin Ritt's 1965 film stars Richard Burton as British agent Alec Leamas who goes on one last mission during the Cold War. This grim and sad spy drama, shot in black and white by Oswald Morris, is one of Burton's best.

"The Talented Mr. Ripley"
What's It About? Anthony Minghella's ("The English Patient") 1999 thriller stars Matt Damon as Tom Ripley, a low class man who is sent to Italy to convince the rich and spoiled Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) to return to America. The two begin to become friends, but envy and passion consume Tom causing him to go to unexpected extremes. This slow-paced, yet unsettling drama offers some of the best and uncharacteristic performances from Damon and Law.
