Idris Elba doesn't mince words when talking about Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
The "Pacific Rim" star, who got into an argument with the rocker at a recent awards show appearance, summed up his feelings about the singer during a recent interview with GQ.
"F--k that idiot," Elba said.
Gallagher came up when the reporter asked Elba about his recent stint DJ-ing a party on the Spanish island Ibiza, where Elba played Oasis classic "Wonderwall," much to the delight of the crowd. Why did Elba play the song if he and Gallagher disliked each other so much?
"I played his song because his song's a classic," Elba said.
The actor explained that the source of their feud traced back to the NME Awards earlier this year, when Gallagher snatched Elba's hat at an after-party. Elba said he did nothing to provoke Gallagher other than giving the singer a hug and a friendly pat on the head -- evidently, the wrong move.
"Didn't like that," Elba said. "Don't touch his hair, apparently. F--k off. Next time walk with a f--king hairdresser, then."
Elba said Gallagher's attitude could be summed up thusly: "I'm a popular rock singer, so I'm going to be mean and f--king horrible to people just because they messed up my look."
